The Shandoor Polo Festival organized by the Culture and Tourism Authority of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, got off to a grand start. Decorated on the world’s highest polo ground located at 12 thousand 200 feet above sea level, Sports Minister Fakhar Jahan and Information Advisor to the Chief Minister Barrister Saif. Attended as a special guest.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a peaceful province and here the government is taking effective steps to promote tourism and culture to show the positive side of the province to the world.
Spectacular performances by Paragliders in the opening ceremony, the participants were entertained by the melodious tunes of FC Band and Chitral Scouts bands. Teams from Sarlaspur Chitral and Ghazar Gilgit Baltistan took part in the inaugural match of Polo Festival, in which Sarlaspur team won 3 wickets. I claimed victory by 6 goals. A large number of fans enjoyed this unique game and breathtaking scenery.
