After four days of fierce fighting by land and air, Pakistan and India have come to a complete and immediate ceasefire agreement. The announcement reportedly made by US president Donald Trump, who claimed in his Truth Social account that America helped broker the peace deal. After Trump’s announcement, Pakistan’s Minister of Finances, Ishaq Dar, confirmed that Pakistan accepted the ceasefire, adding that 36 countries including Turkey, Saudi Arabia and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio were a part of the diplomatic attempts.
In the wake of Mr. Dar’s confirmation, India’s Foreign Minister Mr. Viking Reddy declared India too had agreed to stop all military activities on land, air and sea. It is reported that both countries’ Directors Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) negotiated the settlement directly and ensured there would be no preconditions regarding the ceasefire.

Both countries have suffered immensely due to a stall in tourism because of recent conflicts. According to journalist, Mr. Robertson stated that following India’s attack, Pakistan launched an unrelenting missile strike on India. As a result of Pakistan’s missile offensive, India was forced to come to the negotiation table, and the attacks pushed India into retreat.
An American journalist reported that the U.S. Secretary of State contacted Saudi and Turkish officials, and after these diplomatic engagements, a peaceful resolution was reached, making the ceasefire possible.
It is important to note that India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire, an announcement made by U.S. President Donald Trump, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Indian officials.
With the ceasefire in place, all military operations between India and Pakistan will be halted, according to India’s Foreign Secretary.
