University of Karachi MPhil & PhD Admissions 2026-27 in Marine Biology Announced

The Centre of Excellence in Marine Biology (CEMB), University of Karachi, has announced admissions for MPhil and PhD programmes in Marine Biology for the academic session 2026-2027. The Centre is one of Pakistan’s premier institutions for marine sciences research and higher education, offering advanced academic and research opportunities in the field of Marine Biology.

MPhil in Marine Biology

Eligibility:

  • BS/MSc with at least Second Class in Biological and Physical Sciences.

PhD in Marine Biology

  • Duly completed application form.
  • Attested photocopies of CNIC.
  • Attested copies of academic degrees and transcripts.
  • Four recent passport-sized photographs.
  • Non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 8,000 through pay order in favour of Director, Centre of Excellence in Marine Biology.

Additional Admission Requirements

  • Candidates applying for BS/MSc result-based admission must submit proof of result of the last two semesters attested by the department head.
  • Limited scholarships are available on a pure merit basis.
  • In-service candidates must apply through proper channel along with an official NOC.
  • The application must be accompanied by all required supporting documents.
