National Assembly Secretariat is seeking applications for the prestigious role of Director General (IT) / Chief Information Security Officer (MP-II). This contract-based position offers a unique opportunity to lead digital transformation and cybersecurity strategy for Pakistan’s legislative body.

Academic Qualifications

16 years of education in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or ICT-related engineering from HEC-recognized or reputable international university.
Mandatory top-tier certification: CISSP, CCISO, or equivalent.
Additional certifications: CCSP, SANS SEC-540, ICS/SCADA 410, PCI/DSS, ISO standards.
MS or PhD in relevant field preferred.

Experience Requirements

PhD holders: Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, including 3 years in leadership.
MS holders: Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience, including 3 years in leadership.
16-year degree holders: Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience.
Proven leadership in digital transformation, cybersecurity frameworks, SOC implementation, audits, and risk management.
Experience in governance, compliance, AI security, and stakeholder engagement.

Required Skills

Expertise in cybersecurity governance, threat intelligence, cloud security, and AI risk mitigation.
Strong command of tools like XDR, SIEM, SOAR, NGFW, WAF, EDR, Pen Testing.
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Familiarity with national cybersecurity policies and emerging technologies (Cloud, IoT, AI, Blockchain).

Job Description

As Director General (IT):

Lead the National Assembly Secretariat’s Directorate of IT.
Formulate policy for digital transformation of the Secretariat.
Monitor and evaluate IT projects for modernization.
Coordinate implementation of digitalization initiatives.
Provide inputs for business process re-engineering.
Conduct analysis and stakeholder consultations.

As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO):

Develop and implement cybersecurity vision aligned with national policy.
Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses.
Ensure compliance with local and international cybersecurity standards.
Oversee deployment of security tools and frameworks.
Lead response to cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
Promote cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
Serve as primary contact with regulatory bodies and report on security posture.

Conditions of Service

Contract duration: 2 years, extendable annually based on performance.
Salary & allowances: MP-II Scale, approx. Rs. 800,000 per month.
Maximum age limit: 58 years.
Termination: One month’s notice or salary in lieu.
Performance evaluation as per MP Scale Policy.
