This role is pivotal in shaping PMDC’s sustainability and compliance strategy across its mining operations.
Position Details
Title: General Manager – ESG
Location: Islamabad
Contract Type: Open term contract with market-based negotiable salary
Age Limit: Up to 50 years
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field (HEC-recognized)
Master’s degree and relevant certifications preferred
Experience Requirements
Minimum 15 years in ESG strategy, environmental reporting, social impact assessment, and occupational health & safety
Experience in management roles within government, semi-government, or reputable private organizations
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead ESG strategy aligned with GRI and SASB frameworks
Oversee health and safety compliance across operations
Implement climate change management and environmental reporting
Manage ESG data, disclosures, and sustainability reports
Organize responsible mining and environmental programs
Budget planning for ESG and HSE initiatives
Risk assessment and mitigation
Stakeholder engagement and staff development
Represent PMDC in ESG forums
Ensure legal compliance with EPA, NDMA, Rescue 1122, and other authorities
