A leading transmission company in Pakistan is seeking a qualified legal professional for the role of Manager (Energy Contract). This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work on high-impact energy transmission agreements and contribute to the legal framework of Pakistan’s electricity sector.
Job Objective
The Manager will assist the Chief Law Officer (CLO) in vetting, negotiating, and drafting contracts related to energy transmission. The role also involves providing legal opinions and managing the Contracts section’s operations and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist CLO in drafting and vetting energy transmission contracts
- Negotiate agreements with independent power producers and generation companies
- Liaise with external legal counsel for contract terms
- Manage quality and delivery of legal services within the Contracts section
- Supervise subordinate staff and oversee performance appraisals
- Identify and communicate technology needs of the Contracts section
- Provide legal opinions on contractual matters
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CLO
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- 8 years of post-qualification experience, including:
- Minimum 3 years of law practice
- Minimum 3 years in corporate and regulatory affairs

- Position offered on a lump sum pay package
