ISLAMABAD: Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) will hold a photo exhibition and launch a publication on ?UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Pakistan? today (Wednesday). The event is being organised in connection with the weeklong Independence Day celebrations organised by the Ministry of Culture.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Social Sector Shahnaz Wazir Ali will be the chief guest while PNCA Director General and Director UNESCO Islamabad would address the ceremony. The display carries seven World Heritage Sites of Pakistan namely Makkli Hill (Thatta) Mohenjodaro, Shalimar Garden, Lahore Forte, Rohtas Forte, Taxila, Takht Bhai and Shahbaz Ghari (Mardan).
Pakistan being the signatory to the international convention to safeguard the world heritage sites stands committed to promote the cause. Pakistan?s rich and diversified treasures are highly valued in the world.
