Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC), a state-owned enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), invites applications from highly qualified professionals for the position of Chief Internal Auditor (CIA).
Position Summary
The Chief Internal Auditor will lead the internal audit department, ensuring financial transparency, risk control, and regulatory compliance across PMDC’s operations. This is a key role reporting directly to the Audit Committee of the Board.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (Member of ICAP)
- Experience: Minimum 15 years, including at least 5 years in internal audit leadership
- Age Limit: Maximum 55 years
- Expertise: SAP & ERP, audit planning, risk assessment, control testing, governance reviews
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement audit framework aligned with international standards
- Evaluate internal controls and report gaps to the Board Audit Committee
- Monitor compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct periodic risk-based audits and assurance engagements
- Lead internal audit staff and coordinate with external stakeholders
Terms of Engagement
- Appointment: On contract basis for an initial period of three years
- Remuneration: Market-based salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience
- Location: PMDC Head Office, Islamabad
