Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), Karachi, is now accepting applications for its MSPH Program – Session 2025. This program is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in public health, preparing them to address complex health challenges in Pakistan and beyond.
About Jinnah Sindh Medical University
JSMU was originally established as Sindh Medical College on April 7, 1973. It began with just three departments—Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry—and 200 students. The college operated from the pediatric ward of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), which had previously served as army barracks dating back to 1865.
In June 2012, the institution was granted university status, becoming Jinnah Sindh Medical University. Today, JSMU is one of the largest medical universities in Sindh, with over 11 constituent institutes and 35 affiliated colleges. It is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
The university is committed to excellence in medical education, research, and community service. It offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs in medicine, dentistry, public health, and allied health sciences.
