Minister of aviation of Pakistan has revealed that 1 in 3 Pakistani pilots have dubious or fake licenses. An unprecedented remark by a minister has shaken the national airline as well as has made 100s of Pakistani pilots grounded.
The minister who himself holds a fake degree very irresponsibly made allegations against the pilots of PIA and grounded some 120 pilots, this resulted in mistrust of PIA worldwide. The airline was banned in Europe Malaysia and UK.
This has not only made bad name for PIA which was once a reputable airline and has been mother to many famous world class airlines Including Emirates and Qatar airways.
PIA still is the same the only problem is that Pakistan has chosen a government that is immoral and ilitrate and irresponsible. Where else a minister will just stand and make such false allegations against the pilots without proper investigation or notices to the concerted authorities and the Pilots in questions.
All those licenses are in good standing and Pakistan is not a jungle state where any one can get a fake degree. Pakistan has proper examination systems and all pilots are properly examines theoretically as well as practically on a simulators for many month and then on the plane.
Although when the dust will settle and all the licenses will be proven true and non bogus PIA will stand back on its feet but for the time being this has created a big problem for the national airline as well as travel and tourism industry in general.
Tourism and travel Industry used to depend on PIA a lot because PIA used to advertise the country which used to bring people to the country, moreover transit passengers from Indonesia Malaysia used to use PIA for Hajj & Umrah flights all this will create a big vacum which will be difficult to fill.
March 1962 first lady of UAS Ms. Jacqueline Kennedy arrived on PIA to London. She thanked the pilot Mr. Saleh Ji, by huging him and gave the slogan to PIA The Great People To Fly With
