An NGO in Islamabad has published a new travel guide on Kaghan Valley in collaboration with Tourism Promotion Association of Kaghan Valley (T-PAK). The main focus of this travel guide is to promote eco-friendly recreational and adventure tourism in the beautiful Valley of Kaghan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said President, Sustainable Tourism Foundation Pakistan (STFP) and Author of the guide, Aftab Rana here Saturday while talking to APP.
?The travel guide provides detailed and updated tourist information about Kaghan Valley with lots of breathtaking pictures and maps,? he said. Amir Rashid has brilliantly captured the scenic beauty of Kaghan Valley for the travel guide while the guide has Urdu and English editions. It describes more than 40 places of tourist interest in Kaghan Valley including many new tourist spots that are first time introduced. More than 20 lakes of Kaghan Valley and surrounding areas (most of them are unknown) are also mentioned.
?Our mission is to promote and facilitate the growth of sustainable and equitable tourism in Pakistan in close partnership with concerned stakeholders from the public, private and NGO sectors,? Aftab said. A total of 120 colored photographs of tourist spots of Kaghan Valley and number of sketch maps add value to this compact guidebook on scenic Valley of Kaghan and other areas of Balakot, Kewai, Shogran and Naran. With a view to promote trekking and hiking in Kaghan Valley information on more than 20 trekking routes is also given in the book.
The objective behind publishing this travel guide was to promote eco-friendly and culture friendly responsible tourism in Pakistan.
