Safa and Marwa are two hills in the neighbourhood of Masjid-ul-Haram. The literal meaning of Sa’i is to run. Muslims who perform the Hajj must run in the middle portion of the distance between Safa and Marwa seven times,this is called”Saee”.
This is a commemoration of one mother’s sacrifice for her son.
