Mahmood Khan (Atsakzai) Achakzai is the chairman of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, an Afghan Pashtun nationalist party based in the pashtun belt of Pakistan’s Balouchistan province.

Mahmood Khan Achakzai The son of activist Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai, he remained a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan three times from his hometown of Qilla Abdullah and Quetta. He was the only Pashtun nationalist MNA to be elected in the 2002 electoral sweep of the Pashtun belt by the religious Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).
Mahmood Khan Achakzai is not viewed favourably by many as he demands the weakening of Pakistan’s central government and propagates the view that Pakistan is made up of several ‘nations’. is the current chairman of Pakistan Oppressed Nations Movement which was founded by Mahmood khan and also the leader of APDM (All parties Democratic Alliance) who boycotted the elections held on 18 February 2008. The platform of APDM’s main purpose of restoration of judiciary and remmoval of General Mushrraf.
