Late Mohammad Uris Panhwar was a self made inventor and writer from Mirpurkhan Sindh south Eastern Pakistan. Mohammad Uris Panhwar was born in 1940 and died on 12th July 1996 in Mirpurkhas because of Malaria.
Early Life
He spent his child hoon at his village Khanbhri where he used to herd gots of villagers and used to study at local school at the same time. His father Fateh Mohammad died at an early age and he came in the guardian ship of his uncle Mubarak Panhwar.
Marriage and family
He was married to his cousin Fatima at early age aprox 18 years. He had four kids 2 daughters and 2 sons.
He went to the high school and started to work for a local newspaper known as Insan and later daily Mehran Hyderabad. He worked as Beldar at the phuleli canal during his time I Hyderabad.
Soon he realized that his mind was more inclined towards radio and TV and electronic hence he came to Mirpurkhas and opened a shop by the name of Marooara Radio TV service where he started repairing radio and TVs of the locals.
Marooara Radio TV Service
In around 1975 his brother Abdul Razzaque came to him for assistance. Abdul Razaque was not doing any thing sentential. He taught him to repait radios and gave the shop to him and himself went to Karachi to seek better job. In Karachi he joined a shop where he repaired radio TVs and other electronic equipment for a salary while he also practiced at home to repair radio & TVs as well as invent new things. He experimented with antenas to catch foreign TV stations and and also created several models for improving the TV sets.
His family lived in a village of Mirpurkhas where the life was becoming hard for his wife to live alone hence he purchased a plot in the suburbs of Mirpurkhas which he divided into 2 and gave one part to his brother Abdul Razzaque to live in and half for his family where they built a small house of bricks. He was first to bring a TV at home in the town and people used to come to his home to watch TV nearly every day.
Life in Dubai
He quest for seeking to invent and learn made him decide to go to UAE where he got a small trade license in the name of East West Electronics Khorfakan Sharjah, where he repaired the new typs of TVs and devices.
He experimented with satellite dishes and other scientific stuff.
He brought the first commodore computer and a video game to his village and invited every one in the neighborhood to come and play.
Later he brought video camera with him which he let at his home for his sons to practice who used the cameras to make video films of weddings for a fee.
He also started to do computer programing and learned to create programs and to create his own fonts. He created his own software which was the forst Sindhi Word Processor.
Return to Mirpurkhas
In 1987 he returned to Mirpurkhas with many innovative ideas and dreams. He used his software to replace the old block printing to desktop printing using his Sindhi Software. Daily Mehran became the forst news paper to adopt the new style of publishing
While doing the desktop publishing he bought land of acres in Murpurkhas and an other 16 acres in Mirpur Purani which he sold to his cousin Mohammad Aquib Panhwar in exchange of a larger land in a village near Sanghar. He wanted to create a fish farm and also create a progressive farm where he could grow crops like Jojuba and mashrooms.
He wrote a small book about computers and modern agriculture during this period.
In 1996 he fell ill and caught malaria which took his life.
