It has been almost a year since the Air Blue’s plane crashed in Margala Hills, in the high security zone of Islamabad, but why the finding report about why this accident accured and what what factors were behind the incident is still un-disclosed. One hundred fifty-two people were killed in the accident.
Air Blue flight left Karachi on 28th July 2010 for Islamabad and was not able to make to the destination and crashed into the Margala Hills. Initially it was reported that the accident caused due to the plane went crashed into the Margalla Hills.
The victims of this accident have established a group which is striving for justice. Junaid Ahmed, the convener of the group, said Civil Aviation and Ministry of Defence are detering from making the investigation reports public.
The Civil Aviation had promised to public the report in 2 months while National Assambly had also been asking for the report, while relatives of the victums filed a case in the Peshawar High court which also ordered that the report be presented in the court.
Saira Tariq whoe father Subhan Tariq died in the incident has expressed surprise that what is theat power which is supreme than the court and the National Assambly which is stoping this report to be made public.
This makes this incident even more suspicious and question arises whether the accicident was cased by the negligence of some big agency.
Saira Tariq says “We are told that report is kept from being public due to a National Interest after all what is that Nationa interest? is it to keep ones nation in dark? or is it that orders of court and National Assambly be dismissed and show that country is weak.
A newly wed couble also gave life in the crash, the father of the groom Iftikhar Ahmed told BBC that is this was indeen an incident that the cause of which could have been a technical fault the negligiance of some staff or any other thing must have come up but the cause is being kept a secret which makes this incident suspecious
“We have even said this that disclose the report in-camera and tell us what happeened to our children and what they went thru in the incident, but it seems after few years we will find it our from the wikileaks about the actual facts of the incident.
Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar has said that while some facts about the incident are found but they can not bring them in public.
Report of none of the Plane crashes in Pakistan to-date have been made public but this is first time that relatives of the vistums have stood for the facts are striving for the report to be made public.
