The following text was recieved by Ms. Salma Makhdoomzaide from UK She has shared some experiences and would like all people who have roots in Pakistan to visit Pakistan and become goodwill Ambassadors of Pakistan like herself.
“I am a UK resident. First visit to Pakistan was over whelming. I was excited to meet my families relatives. I got used to the culture, fashion trend and eating habits. There wasn’t much to learn as i knew and understood the islamic trend
and values. What was different was women behaved and acted different as compared to the UK tradition and lifestyle.”
“It was new to me and i was learning how to adapt to the tradition as it is a respected tradition for women wearing correct and traditional outfits. In UK we wear respected clothes but we have a busy lifestyle so
we adjust with the flow.I love Islamabad and Rawalpindi. My family is from there. I learnt how to interact with elders. In UK i do not have any relatives so its hard to understand and value there thoughts and actions. ”
“I am pleased to say in pakistan i have fantastic relatives who have taught me many things about my culture. Its easy to read about it in books but expressing it in reality is different. Who ever travel to pakistan will find the surrounding and atmosphere different but will love the lifestyle there with there relatives. I would advise go and explore it for yourself.”
