KARACHI, July 28 2009: The Southern Regional Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is organizing a seminar on Intellectual Property July 30 at its premises here. An announcement on Tuesday said that the speaker of the seminar will be Zulfiqar Khan- Trainer and Consultant.
It said that he has been involved in intellectual property work for more than 20 years.
The intellectual property, it was further pointed out, represents the property of mind or intellect. It can take the form of an invention, trade mark, original design or the practical application of a good idea.
In business terms, this means proprietary knowledge – a key component of success in business today.
It is often the edge which sets successful companies apart and as world markets become increasingly competitive, protecting your intellectual property becomes essential.
